Project: Big Wing Boy

The idea for this project came up after I became frustrated with trying to keep track of applications, registry imports, run-times and windows updates for different XP installations. I wanted a way to scroll through a list of all possible applications and other options and simply check off which items I wanted to install and which I didn’t. There a lot of applications that attempt to do this but their either intended for use in a large enterprise, contain a hundred features requiring an enormous manual and time commitment to learn or simply don’t work that well for whatever reason.  I wanted something that had the features I wanted and saved the list of items in a friendly format like XML.

I learned about HTML Applications and the ability of VBScript to read and write XML files with relative ease around the same time and thus this idea was borne.  When I finally release the source code I will release it under the GPL (of some version).
